After a long summer of soul searching and grieving the loss of my girlfriend in July. In late August I came to clarity as to my next adventure career-wise. For the last ten years I have tried many of the different alternatives to finding a life partner. From a myriad of faceless, soulless websites to actual matchmaking services, I have always been disappointed. Most of the time, the people I was quote unquote “matched” with were very far from what i was looking for. One agency two years ago sent me on over 80 dates in one year! Not one turned into a “match” in any shape or form. I was being used as inventory to meet women who had paid good money to meet good men. The ugly secret in the matchmaking industry most don’t want to tell you is that they have 70%-80% women and 20% to 30% men. Not only that but most have very little idea of what you want since the matching department is disconnected from the interviewing department. They paint rosy pictures of having “great” matches for you and often charge exorbitant amounts. Usually by the time clients figure out that the agency is of little integrity and help, it’s too late. The 3 day refund window is closed and draconian penalties are implemented allowing little chance at getting money back. None of the firms actually actively look/hunt for a match for clients, they simply match you with the pe0ple in their database. So I have endeavored with my partner Nyla to create a company based on integrity, with a mission to actually find successful and relevant partners.
